| The request for classical music |
|
When first asked about recording suitable classical music for prior to and after church services, I wondered about the wide range of excellent CD's that are available
But then I thought, here is an opportunity to do something different, by bringing to these great compositions something of the wealth of newer musical resources that are now available.

| Internet Resources |
|
The classical recordings on this site are the result of my building on the considerable works of others that are freely available on the internet.
These resources include scores, music files, virtual instruments and software programs.
With these resources, and using my experience as both an organist and software programmer, I have prepared these classical MP3 recordings for you.

| Where there are vocal parts |
|
For music that includes vocal parts (eg Handel's 'For unto us a Child is born' from the Messiah), these vocal parts have been recorded using the many orchestral sounds on the organ.
(Some of these are the highlighted stops). To be able to include all parts, I had to do several recordings, and then mix them together to form the end result.
By recording this way, the end product contains many more notes, parts and sounds than can be humanly played in a live performance.

I trust you will find the recordings inspiring. |
