The privilege of God's revelation
Summary
Are we confident we will be right before God?
God wants us to have absolute confidence about the Last Day.
1. The privilege of revelation - the Jews knew about God. It was a spiritual advantage to be a Jew. For Christians, we have the full revelation in Jesus Christ. Its not popular to say that God has only spoken to mankind through Jesus.
2. It is a mistake to think the privilege of having the revelation is sufficient. Obeying is essential (Ezekiel 33:30ff)
3. The purpose of privilege. It is good to check up on ourselves - what is the basis of our confidence. God has to be allowed to constantly work in us. (v28,29)
