Christian leadership
Summary
What it is to be a Christian Leader.
1. Servants of Jesus. (v1-9). Grow up, they were acting like babes. Church growth comes from God, and God grows His church through teamwork. These leaders were still immature. (v3). Examples of good leadership, different tasks (Apollos & Paul) but God makes it grow. We are mere servants under God. We are not to idolise our Christian leaders. Paul values the work of others, eg Apollos.
2. Building on Jesus. Analogy of the construction industry. (Good, poor, and dodgy builder). We need to build on the right foundation and built something that will last. (v12-15). Ask, where is Jesus in what we do? The church can be destroyed from within (v16-17), and God will judge severely.
3. Fools for Jesus. (v18-23). The world thinks we are fools. We need to build well - we need to build on Jesus to last.
