What does it mean to be a follower of Jesus. Can we all think different things?
1. Who do you say Jesus is. The angel at His birth- 'Christ the Lord'. He is the King. Disciples still confused. Here - The Christ of God. This view is essential to being a follower of Jesus. (Demons already knew in ch 4:41 and shudder).
2. Christ must suffer. God uses the rejection of the Jews to rescue rebellious humanity. Note the word 'MUST'. God wasn't cornered - it was always His plan.
3. How to follow the Christ? I'm going to give up running my life. No such thing as making up our own set of options to follow Jesus. Note the word 'daily'. It is a life style.
