Living under pressure
Summary
We often conform to the majority view. Despite the majority view we are to stand firm in our faith.
1. Don't be distracted from love. Easier to live in the world if we are part of a loving community that is supportive. Be wise how we handle our differences. We agree on the Gospel. Our obligation is also to love the non-Christian, even if they hate us - this is our calling.
2. Don't be afraid to speak. Fear often stops us. We like to 'fit in' instead of sticking to our convictions. One day God will vindicate us if we suffer for speaking for Him. (see notes on verses 3:19-20)
