Peter is appealing for people to get right with God.
1. To the elders (leaders in the Church)- be shepherds. Jesus had originally told Peter to 'feed my sheep'.
2. Be careful of the danger of pride - elders, young, all. We must be humble.
3. Our enemy the devil (lion) seeks to destroy us. Lions sneak up on us, when we are weak, or when we have wandered off from others.
Put our trust in God!
