1 Corinthians 15:1-11   Reading
Studies in the book of: 1 Corinthians
Remember the Gospel
Summary
What is the most important thing we know?
The problem at Corinth was that some denied the resurrection.
1. Understanding the Gospel (v3-5). The Gospel is both simple and profound. The heart of the Gospel: (a) About Christ - God's anointed King (b) Jesus died for our sins - theological meaning for Jesus' death. (c) Jesus was buried (d) Jesus was raised. (e) Jesus appeared. (f) Jesus died and rose according to the Scriptures. The history is historical verifiable. (Story of Frank Morrison in 1930s - Who moved the stone).
2. The Gospel transforms us (v5-11). The people on the list were changed, example Peter. The disciples were changed from being afraid to courageous apostles. Even James the brother of Jesus. Paul was radically transformed. We meet the Risen Christ for God speaks to us in His Word and reveals Jesus to us.
