1. Was there a reason for Jesus' death? The view of crowd (mocked). Even silence from heaven.
2. He was forsaken by God - despite His previous intimate relations with God. The 3 hours of darkness expresses the anger of God. He came to give His life as a ransom. He came to take the place of the guilty. His dying proves His love for us.
3. Now God will never forsake us. Jesus took our place.
