Following Jesus
Summary
Easy to be a spectator. Here an individual is called out to follow Him.
1. Simon's recognition of his condition. 'Master, I'll do it'. Against all human reason they catch a boat full of fish. Reaction: I'm a sinful man. Jesus can also do something about our sin.
2. A forgiven follower. They left behind anything that could stop them following Jesus. (in this case, their boats).
3. Jesus gives him a new role - to reach people - to make disciples. 1 Pet 3:15-'always be prepared to give an answer'.
