Jesus said to Levi,'Follow me'. He left everything. What did he leave and why?
1. The tax gatherer. They worked as extortionists, unclean in the Jewish mind. Religious outcasts. Jesus didn't ask him to walk away from this - he just did it. Something had changed his mind. Repent - change mind. God was not a feature in Levi's life.
2. Who needs Jesus? Whoever is sick? (Righteous and sinners - not words we use these days). Jesus is offering two alternatives way of living - missing the mark, or hitting the mark. Levi knew he was missing the mark.
