Paul is ready to move on from Corinth, but God gives him a vision.
1. Don't be afraid, keep on speaking. Paul felt the same fears as we do (v9) Up till now Paul has had a lot of trouble. There had been a few converted people. Paul talks (1 Corinthians 2:3) about his fear of going to Corinth. Fear can lead to silence.
2. I am with your (v10). A specific promise for Corinth. The promise to all of His disciples - 'I am with you'. Our King lives and is with us.
3. God reveals His plans (v10) - 'I have many people in this city'. (a) Jesus has people before they know Him (Ephesians 1:1) Corinth was the centre of immorality, and very wealthy. God can save anyone. (b) we can be confident to speak. The Good Shepherd calls His sheep. Not all want to hear, but God has His people.
