1 Corinthians 15:20-28   Reading
The Certainty of Life
Topic Study: Easter - Sunday
Summary
Things have consequences. Three consequences of Jesus' resurrection.
1. Life for all who belong. Christ if the first-fruits. (v23) The guarantee of what is to follow. Jesus first - His people later. Just as Adam affected all, is a similar way, but much greater way, He brings resurrection life.
2. The destruction of all of God's enemies (v24,25). The resurrection is Christ's coronation. He crowned ruler. In fact 'death' has been defeated/overthrown/dethroned. It is just a matter of time.
3. The completion of God's eternal plan (v24) End=completion. Like a building project - the building project ends, but it is the beginning of the future use of the building. See v27. We will experience the brilliance of God reigning (see Rev 21:3,4) Death is not part of God's plan for His new creation.
