Many kings are ceremonial figurehead. Jesus is the one way way. What right do we have to say that?
This is why Jesus has authority over everyone:-
1. His Word had authority (v31). Preach the rule of God. He spoke for God with God's authority. Luke gives many examples of Christ's authority - he can do things only God can do.
2. His authority over demons. Many demons because as a nation they were a long way from God. (Zech 13:2). There is no contest - Jesus has all authority. Nothing for us to fear - Jesus is the ruler.
3. Authority over sickness. Instantly healed. Sickness is part of the fall - displays the restoration Hie brings is total. Able to heal ALL. Jesus was not afraid of becoming unclean by touching the sick. His rule will reverse the effects of the fall.
4. Authority over all. He was sent to all, and privilege and responsibilty must continue to do that preaching.
