Jesus can and will give us eternal life.
Jesus is either: Lord, liar or lunatic. But we cannot ignore this claim.
1. Questions of judgement. Jesus agrees with questioner that there is a judgement day. (Hebrew 9:27). Today, many people just ignore this. Even the dying don't want to think of judgement.
2. The question Jesus wants us to ask? Are we going to enter? (a) Strive. Not many ways into the Kingdom of God. We won't just stumble into the kingdom. (b) Let Jesus deal with your unrighteousness. Limited time offer.
3. How do you know if you have entered? Examples of evil Herod and self-righteous Pharisees. Neither would seek Jesus. We need to respond, and continue to respond to Jesus and His offer of forgiveness.
