How can Jesus condemn people if He loves them.
1. His public declaration that He is King. The people recognise who He is. The Pharisees did not agree that He was King.
2. Jesus is deeply moved. (v41) Jesus comes to bring peace. The people wanted political peace. He will bring judgement on those who reject Him (v43). (Destruction of Jerusalem - AD 70). No Kingdom will stand that does not have Jesus as King. Ezekiel 18:20, 32. Jesus delights in saving the lost, because He loves. He endured it so none need to suffer the penalty.
3. The King in His House - Temple. Ezekiel 43:2,4 indicated the Glory of The Lord would enter the temple again. A thin coating of religion will not protect you from God's judgement. Two responses - He teaches and we are to accept.
