Ready for the Lord
Summary
Jesus WILL return.
1. Expected and unexpected return. Acts 17:13, Rev 22:20 - Jesus promised to come. as Judge. But no one knows when He return. Parable of wedding, also a thief in the night. Be ready all the time. The 2,000 years sometimes makes us grow tired of waiting.
2. How to be ready. By being faithful (a) Dressed for service. (b) Lamps burning. First step is to have Jesus as our Master. Are we now living the way he tells us - Titus 2:14. Eager to do what is good - this is our privilege.
3. When He returns. (v37) Rewards for the faithful. Rebellion is punished.
