Just Believe
Summary
Have we got what it takes to follow Jesus? Faith.
1. A sick women. Desperate physical need for 12 years. Also an outcast. She shouldn't have been there or touch them. She has a simple faith, and saw Him as someone could help her. Touched Him. Jesus wanted her to own her actions. Jesus more than a magic healing. He also bring peace, and makes her part of His family.
2. A pleading father. A prominent man - but same desperation (daughter very sick). Jairus sees what Jesus can do, but then the new she has died. Just - just believe. Jesus can do the impossible. Jairus still takes Jesus back to his house, and this show his deep trust.
3. What is it to 'just believe'. Jesus is calm in these desperate situations. He is in control. He dealt with our big desperate need - our sin. Faith starts with recognising who Jesus is. We don't need to fear what we cannot understand - God is always in control, and His timing is always right.
